Highways
The Highways sector is changing due to a continual need to support expansion. Issues such as congestion, road safety, communication with drivers and environmental impact are encouraging not only a Whole Life Approach to Highways development, but also the implementation of realistic and multi-faceted performance-penalty regimes as part of an increasing number of Private Finance Initiative Highways projects.
High Performance Roads
apm has supported Highways infrastructure owners including the Highways Agency, Land Transport Authority (Singapore) to local councils, in implementing new performance regimes that support infrastructure and service growth, rapid response to incidents and defects, minimisation of disruptive lane closures, and incentivation to support future developments and changes.
As part of our role as an independent tender evaluator, we focus on Value for Money, conducting exercises such as: Robustness of Price and Normalisation; Performance-Penalty and -Bonus Projections analysis; Project Accounting IT Systems and Reporting review, and; Risk Management review.
We have supported the development of Safe and Reliable Roads in Singapore providing Systems Safety Management and Assurance and RAMS Modelling works to the Land Transport Authority as part of the development of a new Road and Tunnel.
